Effectiveness in close quarters
DualCurtain Outdoor features a technology that extends the protected area and is unique for an outdoor curtain motion detector. When close-zone detection is activated, the detector’s top PIR sensor has an additional narrow detection field directed at a 40-degree angle downwards from the main field. This function enables the two sensors to detect the movement of a person crossing the protected perimeter near the detector. This specific feature solves the problem of blind spots that this type of detector usually encounters.
Close zone detection has been designed to protect windows and other entrance areas to which animals have no access. The proximity of vectors to detection fields considerably reduces the effectiveness of immunity to domestic animals.
Outdoor perimeter protection – Dual Curtain Outdoor
DualCurtain Outdoor monitors the perimeter of the premises to be protected, without disturbing people inside. Two independent optical systems with narrow detection fields and adjustable parameters enable you to precisely define a detection zone over a distance of 30 m, while avoiding false alarms.
State-of-the-art technology
The sides of the detector are fitted with two narrow-field optical systems, each equipped with two PIR sensors. Thanks to temperature compensation, detection is always accurate. The sensor signals are analyzed by our new ELSA digital algorithm. If two sensors from the same optical system simultaneously detect human movement, the detector activates an alarm.
Two independent detectors in one box
The detection distance of the two optical systems can be set independently. This means you can precisely define the perimeter to be protected by DualCurtain Outdoor, and avoid false alarms caused by a wind-blown bush or passers-by on a sidewalk. To prevent the detection field from being obstructed by a column or gutter on the facade, the optical systems can be reoriented vertically. You can adjust sensitivity, or deactivate one of the optical systems in the application.
